Wimbledon — AR games on TikTok
Fans, and the players themselves, building their perfect player
The case
For Wimbledon 2024, Two Circles came to us with a series of AR games for TikTok, concepts and mechanics in hand, to get fans playing, not just watching. We built three. The hit was Build Your Perfect Player: a roulette spins above your head, landing on random players, and you decide whose serve, forehand, backhand, touch, speed and mentality make the cut. Wimbledon invited the tournament’s own players to build theirs, and 20 did, including Carlos Alcaraz, Andy Murray, Coco Gauff and Emma Raducanu. Fans have posted more than 4,400 videos with it so far, many playing more than once, and the game is still live. It was our second season with Wimbledon: in 2022 we built the Royal Box and champion’s ceremony effects for Centre Court’s 100th year.
